Wedding Album Design

May 3rd, 2012 by Keri | Comments | Filed in Kauai, Weddings

Wedding photos are for wedding albums. A few shots of your wedding on your Facebook page is great, but how long is that going to last? Marriage is forever, that is why I include albums that will last a lifetime in my wedding coverages.  I design each album for my wedding clients, keeping in mind their personal style and ideas. Every album is unique, just like every wedding is unique.

When designing the album I play music that the couple liked.  Then, I love getting to relive the day and tell the wedding day story through my images. It’s the best feeling to make an album that my couples will cherish throughout their marriage.

Here is a page from an album that I am working on this week.

Kauai Family Portait Session- Frank & Dori

November 16th, 2011 by Keri | Comments | Filed in Kauai, Portraits

Frank + Dori + Baby K

Reasons why this was a great shoot:

  1. We hit if off instantly. They were comfortable with me and the camera.
  2. They were such love-doves. I am a sucker for the mushy stuff.
  3. I was available. They were leaving Kauai in a day, so lucky for us, I was ready to shoot on the day they called me.
  4. Shipwrecks beach at sunset in the fall. The cliff glows. Love it.
  5. Baby K was a happy baby. The whole time. Stoked!
  6. They are such a loving family. (Did I mention that?)
  7. They have a nice variety of shots – close ups, sunsets, silhouettes, scenic, sitting down, etc.

T & B’s Romantic Beach Portraits- Kauai Photographer

August 16th, 2011 by Keri | 1 Comment | Filed in Kauai, Portraits

Receiving a call from a client that wants really creative “Calvin Klein-like” photos is enough to get me jumping for joy. It gets me so excited when my clients give me complete freedom and they are eager to participate in every crazy idea I have.

We started shooting on the rocks where I asked them to cuddle up and enjoy the scenery. While they relaxed I snapped away. These guys were naturals in front of the camera. I photographed them all up and down the beach, in different outfits, in the sand, even wrapped up in a big white sheet, and running along the shore. The beautiful “T” and I were giggling girls in between sexy “Marilyn” poses and expressions. Too much fun. And I gotta say “B” was a great sport about all the silliness and looked great in his “Calvin’s.” His “Blue Steel” was spot on!

This is what happened last week when I photographed “T” & “B” on a North Shore beach during sunset.
